Ist es also so, dass ich irgendetwas richtig mache, wenn ich seit ziemlich langer Zeit schon nahezu 100% werbefrei im Internet surfe (Desktop wie mobil) und auch Smartphone-Apps auf meinen Gerten werbefrei bleiben

a fait un bout de temps que les newsletters reviennent la mode. Si cest parfois le cas venant de particuliers, cest aussi particulirement prsent dans un certain nombre de journaux que je consulte rgulirement.

Pourtant, jai du mal me laisser convaincre. Dj, je reois bien assez de mails comme a, et je prfre consulter des articles dans mon navigateur (Firefox, videmment) quand jen ai envie plutt que des les voir mlangs des trucs auxquels je dois rpondre plus ou moins urgemment (et bonne quantit de spam).

Et puis, je suis dune nature suspicieuse. Pourquoi est-ce que tous ces gens tiennent me communiquer leurs articles par email  Est-ce que ce ne serait pas, justement, pour avoir mon email  Et ensuite pouvoir lutiliser pour faire des choses pas trs claires avec  

Lexprience

Aujourdhui, je dcide den avoir le cur net, et de voir ce que que je manque : je me cre une adresse, newscrowdagger.fr, juste pour a. Et je vais mabonner ces news letters.

Problme : jaimerais bien pouvoir distinguer qui a eu accs tel mail. Je pourrais faire une adresse diffrente par endroit o je minscris, mais ce serait vite pnible, mme avec des alias. Je me rappelle heureusement quil est possible dajouter un champ la fin de son adresse mail, mais je ne sais plus exactement comment. Je pars donc pour demander sur Mastodon, mais, alors que je rdige le message en cherchant un exemple de ce que je veux, la solution me revient en tte : il est possible dajouter  +  dans la partie identifiant de son adresse mail. Ainsi, je pourrais mabonner Mediapart avec ladresse news+mediapartcrowdagger.fr et au Monde avec news+mondecrowdagger.fr. Bon, je menvoie un mail moi-mme avant pour vrifier que a marche. Youpi, cest parti, je vais enfin pouvoir voir ce que jai rat.

Je me dis que a va tre turbo-facile, et que je vais juste avoir copier/coller mon adresse mail sur tous ces diffrents journaux. Mais ce nest pas toujours aussi simple.

Mediapart

Sur Mediapart, il faut passer par . Cool ! Javais beau tre abonne Mediapart, je ne pensais pas quil y en avait autant. Je minscris beaucoup, mais pas toutes. Je rentre mon adresse mail et je fais  valider mes choix. Ctait facile !

Une question me titille cependant. Est-ce que ce nest pas un peu trop facile  Et si javais mis ladresse mail de quelquun dautre pour le pourrir  Srement que je vais recevoir un mail qui va me demander de confirmer en cliquant sur un lien  Effectivement, je reois immdiatement un mail. Mais rien confirmer, a me dit juste que mon inscription a t prise en compte.

Arrt sur images et Libration

Sur Arrt sur images, cest aussi simple. Et toujours pas de confirmation par email pour vrifier que cest bien le mien. Heureusement que personne naurait lide dinscrire quelquun ce genre de choses contre son gr !

Chez Lib . Alors je pense que sur le principe cest cens tre aussi simple, mais la page a du mal safficher chez moi, il faut dire que jai pas mal de bloqueurs de publicits et de de javascript externe. Mais en dsactivant un peu mon niveau de protection je paviens minscrire.

Le Monde

Avec Le Monde, cest un peu plus lourd : je odis crer un compte. Au moins, a permet de vrifier que le mail est bien le mien et que je ninscris pas quelquun dautre. Et je suis mme positivement surprise : une fois connecte, la page ne me permet pas juste de minscrire une newsletter, mais aussi de consulter les newsletters passes. Je peux les regarder quand je veux et sans polluer mes mails, cest formidable le progrs !

Le Figaro et Basta!

Comme pour Le Monde, il faut se crer un compte. Contrairement au Monde, pour crer un compte il ne faut pas juste rentrer son adresse mail mais aussi rentrer un nom, un prnom, une civilit (juste Monsieur ou Madame, on est au Figaro, pas chez les queeros).

Pour , comme pour le Figaro, il faut mettre son nom et son prnom en plus de ladresse mail. Pas de civilit, en revanche, et pas de cration de compte.

Premier bilan temporaire

Je dcide de marrter l pour ce soir. Dans ma boite mail nouvellement cre, jai une dizaine de mails de bienvenue sur des newsletters diverses. Aucune information concrte pour linstant, 100% de bruit : jai peut-tre la promesse davoir par la suite des informations intressantes, mais pour linstant, beaucoup deffort pour pas grand chose.

Pour tous les mais que jai reu, mon client me prvient :  Pour protger votre confidentialit, les ressources distantes ont t bloques.  Les ressources distantes, cest typiquement mettre un lien vers une image plutt que limage elle-mme dans le corps du mail. a permet de rduire un peu la bande passante  limage ne sera tlcharge que quand vous choisirez de lire le mail, et ne le sera pas si vous lignorez. Cest, aussi, une mine dor pour lanalyse des donnes : il suffit de modifier un peu ladresse de limage pour chaque mail envoy pour savoir quel utilisateur a ouvert tel mail ou pas. Cest pour a que les client mails dcents bloquent le chargement : cest une fuite de donnes potentielle majeure.

Un tracking gnralis

On peut egarder un peu plus quoi ressemblent ces liens pour se faire une ide : si on a juste un nom de fichier genre banniere.jpg, il y a peu de chance que chaque accs ce fichier puisse tre reli mon adresse mail. En revanche, si le fichier sappelle 4834832842982.jpg, il est beaucoup plus possible que ce numro soit reli mon adresse moi, et distinct pour quelquun dautre. Si limage est un pixel blanc cach dans un coin de la page qui sappelle 43433842249.jpg, on peut se dire quil nest pas l pour des raisons esthtiques.

Rsultat des courses :

Bref, pour linstant, je nai reu aucune information interssante via ces newsletters, mais tous ces journaux ont jug indispensable de mettre une image de 1px sur 1px une adresse permettant, je le suppose, de savoir que cest bien moi qui ai regard le mail. Une pratique de tracking dtestable que je pensais bien voir utilise par certains, mais dont je suis due de voir quelle est en fait gnralise  tous.

Pas de bons lves pour cette fois, et mon impression initiale en sort renforce : et si toutes ces newsletters servaient surtout, au final, collecter plus de donnes

Die Webseite der Sddeutsche Zeitung hat seit ein paar Wochen eine neue Loginseite fr User mit Abo (das ich auch gekauft habe). Dieser neue Login funktioniert nicht mehr, wenn man im Firefox Addon NoScript google.com geblockt hat. Sobald das erlaubt wird funktioniert der Login. Ich finde es eine Frechheit, als zahlender User der SZ, den Login nur mit dem Tracking von Google zu ermglichen.

Gibt es eine App, mit der man sich selber en lassen kann, die nicht Google ist Ich meine im Hintergrund und unabhngig von Strava. (Vielleicht sogar eine, die die Daten dann nicht verkauft haha) Danke fr Tipps und boost

Did you ever hear about Custom Headers in Yesterday I found out that will add custom HTTP header X-Brave-Partner on websites of the Brave's partners.

Currently, it adds this header only on website, the reason is "Count Brave visitors as part of an ad campaign".
Also, if is a default search index, the Brave adds special clid parameter to search requests for indicating that request originated from Brave (2423859 for Android users, 2353835 for Desktop users).
